For thousands of years people have started off a new year by taking stock of the year that just ended and setting goals to help improve the one to come. If you need inspiration for a resolution, check out what some of our members had to say when we asked what they were resolved to do differently in 2013.
I am going to be a more avid runner! No matter how busy I get at work! – Laurel
I want to get my kids outdoors more. – Roger
I want to get my butt to yoga once a week. I also want to finish a 13 week running program and run my first race since high school. – Holly
Ski more x-country…if it snows more than last year… – Shane
I want to make a commitment to myself to climb three times a week, eat healthier and (if possible) create even more memories than last year! Oh, and to dance more! – Kirstin
Run more and train for my first triathlon! – Yuki
Maybe not a resolution but a goal is to get out cross country skiing 20 days this winter. – Tanya
It seems that most resolutions boil down to time. Stop smoking, go to the gym, eat right… a healthier life equals more time.
Travel, take up a new hobby, go on dates with your spouse… for more quality time.
Work less, turn off your phone, unplug the computer and television…more personal time.
Are you going to make any resolutions for the new year? Mine is the same as last year…never miss an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors with my family. Its takes effort to make room in our busy lives, but you’re worth it. Make a change for the better. It’s time.
